We're hiring a Flutter engineer to build the frontend of a multi-tenant Membership Management platform for a European client. You'll start by building two thematically distinct end-customer apps, then move onto the main membership-management application — and help shape the Flutter standards and best practices the team follows.
The backend is Java / Spring Boot (multi-tenant); you build against its APIs. This is a spec-driven, AI-native team: we develop with Claude Code. Your leverage comes from architecting well, generating fast with the agent, and then rigorously reviewing every line before it ships to production.
What you'll do
-
Build multi-platform Flutter apps targeting Android + iOS/macOS first, and also Web, Windows, and Linux — from one well-architected codebase.
-
Ship two thematically different end-customer apps, then contribute to the main membership-management app.
-
Help establish best practices — state management, project structure, design system, API/data layers, CI, and multi-platform release pipelines.
-
Integrate cleanly with the multi-tenant Java backend — auth, tenant-aware sessions, REST, error/retry handling. Never let tenant boundaries leak on the client.
-
Drive development with Claude Code, then review its output critically — you are the quality backstop for AI-generated Dart.
Requirements
-
At least 2 years of professional Flutter / Dart development experience.
-
Strong Flutter / Dart, with production apps shipped to both Android and iOS.
-
Multi-platform delivery — ideally beyond mobile (macOS / Web / Windows / Linux) from a shared codebase, with an understanding of per-platform pitfalls.
-
A clear, defensible approach to state management (Riverpod / Bloc / etc.) and scalable app architecture you can justify.
-
Solid REST/API integration, auth flows, and multi-tenant session/context handling on the client.
-
A strong test-automation habit — unit + widget + integration tests by default.
How we work — expected of every hire
-
Fluent with Claude Code for fast code generation — you move quickly with the agent, then manually review every change and take responsibility for what ships to the production server. AI writes the draft; you own the result.
-
Work independently — self-directed, comfortable owning ambiguity.
-
Grow into leading — take ownership of your work, and grow into leading a project and setting standards over time.
-
Run multiple projects in parallel — context-switch cleanly while keeping quality high.
Nice-to-have
-
Desktop Flutter release experience (notarized macOS, MSIX/Windows, Linux packaging).
-
CI/CD for Flutter (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, multi-platform store deployments).
-
Design-system / component-library ownership; strong UI/UX sensibility.
-
Offline-first, local persistence (Isar/Drift/Hive), background sync.
-
GDPR / EU data-handling awareness on the client side.
